What can we do about Stress in our Daily Life?
In our modern world stress is one of the most dangerous factor for a healthy living. Most of the people feel stressed at work or home and this affects our whole body.
However, if you feel stressed all the time, it can start to take its toll on your health.
The trouble is that people do not never realize how stressed they are until they have a major health event.
So, what are the main symptoms of stress, and what can you do to relieve stress naturally?
1-Poor sleep or sleep quality
Tossing and turning is a sign of an unpeaceful mind. Try meditation or guided imagery that is, thinking about pleasant things or picturing a favorite place to give you a mini-vacation from what’s stressing you.
The lack of sleep will soon lead to tiredness. But even those who manage to get some sleep might feel listless. Try to focus on getting a good 8 hours of sleep a night. Also add exercise to your routine. It is energizing and also helps reduce stress.
3-Feeling burned out
You may be both physically and mentally tired and have trouble concentrating on your work, even on simple things that you can usually do without difficulty.
And the harder you push, the worse it gets. Try meditation, guided imagery, and listening to music.
Also schedule small regular breaks throughout the day and don’t skip lunch. Eat, of course, but consider getting away from your desk to take a walk or just get a change of scenery so you do not feel like you are in a pressure cooker all the time.
4-Chronic digestive problems
If you’ve been suffering from indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, or nausea, it might be due to stress to start with, but soon become a serious health issue in its own right.
Eat small healthy meals and steer clear of too much ‘comfort food’ and caffeine. Aim for 11 servings of fruits and vegetable per day and cut back on fatty foods like meat and full-fat dairy.
5-Increasing bouts of physical illness
The more run down and stressed you are, the less likely you are to avoid infection.
If you are getting more and more colds and flu, add more nutritious foods to your diet and practice better hygiene by washing your hands well and often.
Stress can ruin your quality of life over time, so learn to spot it and take action for a happier, healthier you.
